You followed me into the night,
Through the garden, past the light.
It seems to me, you are my ghost;
Entering my thoughts, from coast to coast.
You wreak of loathing, but so do I;
You’ve always wanted to see me fly.
But how can I fly, without any wings?
For every time I tried, you tangled me with strings.
It’s hard to see a grown man cry.
Forever and always, my favourite goodbye.
